Court clears money laundering charges of Senator Nwaoboshi N322m

The State High Court of Lagos, Ikoyi, released Senator Peter Nwaoboshi from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s charge of money laundering against him of N 322m.

In the National Assembly, Nwaoboshi represents the North Delta Senatorial District.
The EFCC alleged that the accused were guilty of the offense of money laundering in Lagos between May and June 2014 under the two-count charge of FHC/L/117C/18.

However, Judge Chukwujekwu Aneke, who was the chairman, found the agency to be unable to demonstrate the elements of the crimes that the legislator had committed.

The Judge Aneke also stated that the case had collapsed because officials of the bank had not been invited to testify. Afterwards, Senator Nwaoboshi had all charges clear.
