Four lawmakers defect from PDP to APC

Four house of reps members have announced their defection from PDP to the ruling party Apc,The lawmakers are, Hon. Bello Hassan Shinkafi, Hon. Ahmed Bakura, Hon. Ahmed Shehu and Hon. Suleiman Gumi, all of the four lawmakers are from zamfara state, following their governors step in defecting as Zamfara state governor Bello Mattawalle announced his defection only two weeks ago

In a letter signed by Hon. Suleiman Gumi at the plenary and read by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, the lawmakers wrote that their decision to leave the PDP was because of the crisis within it, which led to dissolution of the state chapter by the national leadership of the party.

Last week, three PDP senators defected to APC, they are : They are: Sen. Sahabi Ya’u (Zamfara North), Sen. Lawali Anka (Zamfara West), and Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi (Delta North)., which mena s that seven lawmakers have defected from APC to PDP within two weeks, in their letters to the plenary which was read out by the senate president Ahmed lawan they all complained of the party’s internal problem as the reason for their defection, the senate president jokingly said that more were coming

Zamfara state governor Mattawalle officially announced his defection to APC from PDP two weeks ago, PDP had dissolved Zamfara state’s chapter, which has since caused a lot of defections by the party members in the state. he sacked all of his special advisers in line with the defection, he said that his action was to bring peace to Zamfara state
