Missing Ondo woman found dead in a Cocoa Plantation

Joke Olaniji, a lady who had been missing for two weeks, was discovered dead on a cocoa field in Ondo State’s Ondo East Local Government Area.
The 55-year-old woman allegedly left home two weeks ago without informing anyone of her plans.
Juliana, the deceased’s mother, stated she assumed her daughter had gone out to buy something when she (the mother) returned home from a meeting and did not find her.
“Around 3.30pm, when I was leaving the meeting, I noticed someone come out of our house,” she explained. She said she couldn’t find Joke in the home since she needed nylon.

“I felt concerned and dashed home to beg for assistance in finding my daughter.
Joke Olaniji, a lady who had been missing for two weeks, was discovered dead on a cocoa field in Ondo State’s Ondo East Local Government Area.

When we couldn’t find her, we called the cops and went to different locations to pray for her return. But we didn’t see her until the cops informed us that her body had been discovered naked on a cocoa farm not far from our home.”
The bereaved mother pleaded with the authorities to investigate what had happened to her daughter and apprehend the criminals.
Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro, the state Police Public Relations Officer, verified the occurrence, adding that the deceased had been buried.
He also stated that an investigation had commenced into the situation.
