My first kidnapping operation fetched me N30,000 – Suspect tells Amotekun

Three suspects were caught and paraded today by the yoruba security outfit, Amotekun in Ondo State for kidnapping and attempted murder.

The Amotekun commander, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, who paraded them earlier today, claimed 37-year-old Usman Garba, a native of Niger State, was engaged in a successful kidnapping act that was subsequently prevented by Amotekun officers,

The second suspect identified as Olanrewaju Olaleye, a 24 years old from Okitipupa, was detained for armed robbery and he had various hazardous weapons recovered from him, while the last person, Lawal Haruna was arrested for attempted murder.

Chief Adetunji said further

“We are currently investigating additional gang members, we believe we can take them to court and begin prosecution at this time. We detained three individuals, including one kidnapper who confessed to being a gang member,”

The alleged kidnapping perpetrator, who admitted to being involved in two kidnappings, explained that he was co-opted into kidnapping by sponsors he claimed he didn’t know about, His current operation, which led to his arrest, was supposed to earn him #400,000 because his sponsors were supposed to receive 4 million naira in ransom, He also mentioned that his first operation netted him #30,000.
