Full Stadiums, thrilling football, top class players; Premier league is finally back, what should we expect?

The euphoric feeling that escorts the birth of every new premier league season is not missing this season, after a very busy transfer window which is still ongoing, the dramatic euro 2020 final and intense end of last season, the build up to this new season is eccentric, this season promises to be interesting and very eventful although its just some hours away, we just cant seem to wait

Let the actions begin

No doubt, this season will be a very exciting one, Manchester city and Chelsea have broken the English premier league transfer record twice in the past two weeks, we have seen interesting signings all over the league, Veteran Defender Raphael Varane, youngsters Konate, Sancho, Ben white and so much more, even league newcomers seem eager to join the most watched league in the world, no one wants to relegate, everyone wants to win the league or qualify for Europe {okay…. Maybe not everyone, but most}, the teams are raring to battle it out, the fans are eager to shout in support, what’s more? A whole lot of money is ready to be spent

Here are our predictions going into the new season:

David Adeleye
Champions:
Man city???, I am not so sure about this team like I was last season, the signing of Grealish for 100 million pounds doesn’t change my mind, sorry, I don’t think Grealish will make any serious impact in this Man city team, he is a fantastic player though, no doubt, I was not too impressed of Man city style of play last season, especially when they played with no centre forward, with the way the league is been modeled I think Man city might sometimes find it difficult to break down defenses, but if they can be successful in their pursuit of harry kane, then no question, the league is theirs, even without them buying kane, I believe they have the best chance.

Top four:
I will make the same prediction I made last season in no chronological order: Man United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City although there are some teams that are looking strong at the moment none is strong enough up to these teams for me, Leicester seems to be the biggest threat to the top four teams but I believe last season’s top four will again get automatic Uefa qualification spots this season.

Now let’s talk about the order

Man City
Man United
Chelsea
Liverpool

Man Utd

Although I am not very sure about man city, I still think they are the best bet, Man United’s team has been strengthened over the summer, I think the arrival of Varane is most important, he is a proven winner and I think that will seriously help the mentality in the Man united team, a backline of Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire and Luke Shaw seems good enough, with Pogba in form and still in the squad, the midfield is also good, especially if Mctominay plays like he did in the Europa league final and Fernandes plays like plays every game, and the forward line consisting Sancho, Rashford, Greenwood, Martial and Cavani, this team I believe can finally manage to win a silverware this season

Chelsea

Sorry Chelsea fans, although Chelsea has the best backline right now, the midfield; top class, and with Lukaku, the attack is also Top class, as you have guessed there is a “but” coming, Chelsea has qualities but their style of play can’t win the premier league {maybe they will prove me wrong}, Chelsea plays so much conservative football, three central backs, conceding little and also scoring little sometimes playing goalless draws, it won’t just work all the time, most teams already what to expect of Chelsea this season, maybe if Lukaku settles in faster than expected and Tuchel pulls some surprises, who knows, anything might happens

Liverpool

I am not sorry to Liverpool fans for placing them here, the team seemed worn out last season most of the players are in their 30s and they have just let one of their most important players Gigi Wignaldum go for free without any replacement, the front line doesn’t seem to gel like it did before, Liverpool are still fantastic team but let’s face the facts, they need fresh legs

Europa League Qulaification

Because of Leicester fantastic team and amazing recruitment of signing soumare and patson daka, Leicester just seems are the most likely team to finish fifth, Tottenham should finish sixth, Arsenal Seventh and I don’t believe Everton has any chance at success this season, so I will skip them entirely, West Ham will fight well for European spot, and they might get it, if Arsenal plays worse than expected.

Relegation

It has got to be Watford, Newcastle and Burnley, Burnley might have a chance at fighting but not Newcasle and Watford, they are almost doomed for failure. However, I don’t trust my relegation predictions, maybe you shouldn’t, I predicted Brighton and Aston villa Last season

The summary
